I use to do that alot in my old jeep, got good at it too,never lost a bead but hay sh##&t happends. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />.Frist thing I would check is the HUB,It comes off easy,I think you only make it up hills in 4HI because of speed,if it was a drive axel it should make alot of noise,mine did,(just replaced the drivers side, had a cut hole in the boot and lost it)and check to see if the C-clip is still on the shaft,if not the shaft will move in and out of the HUB,mostlikly breaking it at the same time,Good luck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
