It's supposed to be filled. They eventually leak. They can be repaired with RTV and any of a variety of liquids. Use the search function and you'll find options.

Welcome to the wire. I'm sure you're already finding there's a wealth of info here on your Raider (aka rebadged 2 door Mitsubishi Montero). The inclinometer is supposed to be filled with a fluid but with age the fluid typically leaks out because there is an elastic expansion 'membrane' that gets brittle with age... (at least that's the latest take on it). Regardless, there's a write-up ( Here) on how to fix it.

What is missing to be thorough? The only thing left out was how to pull the center pod... I am sorry. i did not mean to be rude in any way. I just thought that it could be more step by step for the mechanically challenged is all. The post is fine by itself for me as i can repair anything. but my Girlfriend wouldn't know what to do or where to start based on that ONE picture with a brief description.

Well, I put two pics in. I didn't think anyone actually needed to see more than one of a removed unit?
But if you figure it needs more detail, then why haven't you written a new article? Methinks if you don't contribute, you have no room to complain.

If you wanna send it to me, I can edit it into a full blown article to go in the tech section. Few pics would help. If you want to do it via pm that's cool, or pm me for my email addy...
