The thing that suppossedly fall out are the gen 2 Coil springs they give you lift and load capacity but are a bit shorter. Frank and a few others here run the Gen1 LWB coils in their SWB. Shocks wont interchange betwen gen 1 and 2 due to different mounts.

Sounds like your going to put the suspension through a workout. Good shocks and the LWB springs will probably do you well. I also think you should put in some sort of traction aid in the rear end if you don't already have one..get a Mitsu LSD out of the yard and install it in your rear diff..Bertha looks like the bare bones model so she probably doesn't have one..but honeypot might already have it.
