Body Damage is Cool
As much as I love carbs.. they just don't perform well offroad. For on road, both the factory carba dn weber are just great. Offroad, the weber was annoying and the factory carb was not too much better.

back when my truck was ifs with 33's doing mild trails, the carbs were fine. But once it got built up and I started doing some hardcore stuff, I am soooo glad I put on an EFI carb

If your truck is a road rig with some mild 4wheelin' a carb swap may work for you. But if you forsee yourself doing any form of rock crawling, figure out the EFI.

Rocks we don't have so Carbs work great for mild crossngs like this one. This is the only quick link I can come up with and it doesn't do the amount of angle we put on the trucks justice but it's a carb'ed 22r going through one of our smallest inclined obsticles. The race truck has been almost on its side with the mirror touching the mud and the holley 500cfm with the offroad kit doesn't miss a beat.

I know that fuel injection is superior, but for my level of experience with them I found it to my benefit to just get rid of them. Having repeatedly failing to correctly find and fix several fuel injection issues on several of our trucks, I found that I was a much better person to be around when I used carbs!!

PS I'm getting ready to rip another fuel injection system off, anyone need it??

No Adkins diet for me, it's carbs all the way !!

Here is a better clip (from yesterday) of a Weber not missing a lick during some off angle wheeling.

That was awesome. Like the avatar too.

I'll take your EFI stuff, esp the fender stuff that I never seem to be able to find.

PM me.

A bit OT:

You'll note I have a sticky for Weber 22R tech at the top of this section if you want to contribute. I know Yodta wil be working on something. We'd like to compile some stuff for our tech archive.
