i personally run a knock off sold by les schwab, the dean mud terrain sxt... its classified as a mud/snow tire. the tread is pretty aggressive and accutally has really good road manners, excellent when off road. the key that ive found is siping... it will run you a little more in the long run, but not only do will your tires last longer but youll get better traction on all surfaces. i have never had a problem getting traction on compact snow/ice when in 4wd and on top of that, ive put quite a few miles on them and they still have most of the tread. imho... some nice all weather radials with siping.
btw, cant believe anybody brought up the big o "bigfoot at's"... dam that was a good tire, put 60k on a set and they still looked brand new.
