FEG PA-63 shooting "short-9's" (Makarov round)...$139.95, grade VG-Select from J & G in Prescott, AZ. Get an extra mag for $15 or so. Put a couple around the house, in the car. They shoot bullets. Costs less, just as filling.
Remember, they're just there "to fight your way back to the rifle/shotgun you shouldn't have put down in the first place."
My opinion. Your feet-per-second may vary. And I'll give any intruder a 100 yard head start. I have a sight for that, too. (Reminds me again of 'Quigley Down Under.' Sharps, now that's a rifle...)

I've been procrastinating on a G27 myself. Guess its time to sh!t or get off the pot. You'll probably still be able to buy a G27 and mags for it, since they're <10 rounds. I'm prioritizing my spending on stuff over 10 round capacity first, since those are the usual ban candidates. The Supreme Court already said pretty clearly that they can't ban handguns, but you can bet they'll go for your right to carry it, mags, ammunition, "assault rifles" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> etc. Can any of you AR aficionados tell me how the gray mag followers function differently from the green mil-spec ones? I can't view ARFCOM at work and if I asked over there I'd probably get laughed at anyway. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I bought a 17 today. Its brand new with a 3.5 lb trigger, 3 mags, and a set of trijicon night sights. $540 I threw the lock out of the window on the way home. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I'm trying to decide on between a G21 45ACP in the compact frame or the G19 9mm.
I already have a 45 and the 9mm would be better suited for the wife, not to mention the ammo price. Both the G21 and G19 are about $600 new at my local store.
