Sounds like this would be on the rear diff? Does the "line" run up into the tubular crossmember? If yes and yes, it's the breather line.

No its not the breather Im thinking it must be the electrical ABS sensor or whatever it plugs closer into the front piece of the diff compared to were the breather plugs into the top of the diff

So upon looking the truck over yesterday the 3.0s serpentine drive apperantly but my powersteering pump is driven on a V belt is that correct? Or did a Previous Owner try something?

And BTW guys I found out today that lil intake kit I have for my 91 4g64 thats for the vr4 galant works on my 91 6g72 the MAF box is the same as far as shape and size so they work very well!!

Hopefully tomorrow my new sending unit will be here and I can get her running

And the more I look at the differential housing on this truck the more I swear up and down that its got a bigger housing then the one on any of my previous trucks and seeing as how I also own a 91 2wd truck and I never saw a ABS sensor on the housing I wonder if the V6 truck has the bigger housing

Any way to tell forsure????

Im very perplexed by this problem b/c Im really feeling an LSD/Air Locker for this truck and can't be using a 4cyl locker in what mighty possibly be a 4cyl housing or vice versa

V6 trucks/monteros have a larger front and rear diff front its the 8" rear is the 9" take a picture of the diff and post it up. Put a set of 4.62's out of a montero in there and put some 33's or larger on it.

Will do she has 4.22s in her, as far as tire im looking at 235/85r16s (tall and skinny like my tires like I like my women ) but even in a TSL form thats only a 32 so I dunno she for damned sure needs some meats under her once I get my 16s painted up Ill probly throw on some old 245/75/r16s (not my choice tire but I dont have any thing else in a full set any more)

And I wasnt certain if the larger housing would come equipped with the 4.22s or not so I think I just got that answered inadvertantly

24 valve and 3.5 dohc have a higher H.P. and torque band,,,not as good for crawling.

Tell that to CAP510

Ray ,
Your right,,,
I'm in a MT state of mind,
with an auto and /or 4.8 or 5.3s and an MT it wouldn't matter so much on that torque band.

for me its not oil leaks that kill the mounts its the age and Miles if your over 120/9 years its time to change them motor mounts really it is they are old and worn out!

Heck , you don't need good motor mounts with the 3.0 ,,,,,,I ran mine for along time appearently just using the metal backups.

I discovered this a few years ago when I lifted an old engine out and they fell off a few minites after lifting the engine.

Well Im still nonrunning but not b/c Im incapable heres the back story as to why PO removed fuel tank to replace the in tank sending unit/pump (me and my dad argue over what to call it seeing as how its in the tank I call it a sending unit he calls it a pump..... I dunno) and when he did so instead of disconnecting the lines/pulling the unit out of the tank he just broke the STEEL lines that are directly out side of the tank leaving like 1/4 of an inch of line outside of the sending unit

So my dad went in to pick up the sending unit today and I only get the lil pump at the bottom as compared to me prefering to want the whole assembley so they call up the nearest mitsu stealership (5hrs away in Wichita KS) they say they can get the whole assembly so now Im waiting on them to send it here

Thing is Im just a wee bit worried even with the complete assembly WTF am I gonna do a bout those lines? is there going to be a disconnect that the PO shoud have disconnected that I can disconnect in/on the truck and clamp them onto my new unit??

BTW I my cab all lined with some bondo undercoating hope it works out well Temple inspired me
