Well, I'm not quite sure of what you're looking at due to your terminology, but it sounds like the hard line that comes off the top of the fuel pump mounting bracket is broken off. If that is the case, your only option is to get another mounting bracket. I had a similar thing happen when I replaced the fuel pump on my '89, and ended up getting a fuel pump assembly shipped to me from a pick-n-pull, then mounting my new fuel pump onto the bracket. If that's the case, you can search my user name and fuel pump for the posts I submitted a couple of years ago about that adventure <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> Might be some useful info there, especially about connecting the fuel lines up -- not all the fittings rotate and I suspect that's why the previous owner snapped the hard line off.
