Ok well tell me what terms are confusing you? Ill try to reiterate my position again

Confusion is due to the Montero having a fuel pump and a separate sending unit for the fuel gauge. Perhaps the MightyMax V6 is different, but here's a picture of the top of the fuel tank where the pump and gauge sending unit are accesssed.

On the left is the fuel pump, on the right the gauge sending unit. On the fuel pump, there are two hard lines that drop down and to the right... one has a screw-on connector and is the high pressure line. Here's a picture of the one that broke off of mine:

And finally, a picture of the fuel pump bracket -- minus the fuel pump -- which is what I think you'll need to replace to solve your snapped hard line issue:

In my case, I snapped the hard line because I thought the manual said it had a flare nut on it. In reality, the flare nut was on the other end (towards the engine) of the rubber fuel line connected to the high pressure side. Loosen and remove that connection so the rubber hose can spin freely without flexing and then attach the hose to the high pressure line at the fuel pump. Then finally reconnect the rubber hose to the flare nut and tighten to specs. Flare wrenches in the appropriate sizes are a good investment!

As I said, maybe the MightyMax is different. If so, post up some pics and I'm sure there will be more help forthcoming if you need it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
