What OEM wheels fit a Gen1 ? #914798 11/08/08 12:14 AM

I believe there was a thread showing what other wheels fit the Gen1's. This is for a 90 SWB Monte.

Looking to upsize but would rather find "take offs" from a matching pattern (Tacoma?). I think there were some bolt pattern matches but problems with the center hole sizing.

Does not have to be 15". Who's got the answer?

I edited your title to make it easier for people to know what you were asking about without opening the thread.

I thought most Toys had center bore clearance issues with the rear on our trucks...

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Well, Isuzu wheels won't fit!! Not without grinding.

I have mounted (loosely) newer Tundra/Tacoma 16" alloys, but they had 5.5" backspacing, amd why I didn't use them.

Justice had some three-spoke 16" Montero Sport wheels, they'd work. On my Raider, I've had several wheels mounted up...15 inch, various widths, 3.75- and 4-inch backspace. I like the 4"BS best, as even 33x12.5's on a 10 inch rim didn't rub the outside edge of the rear fender well when stuffed.

Funny you should mention that: Just last night I was doing some comparo's.

I don't know what size of wheels these are, or what size of tires came on them, but here's a list of wheels.

Bolt Pattern: 6 x 139.7
Stud Size: 12 x 1.5
Center Bore: 108mm
Offset: Low/Medium

Isuzu:
Amigo '89-'00; Axiom '02-up; Rodeo & Trooper '92-up

Lexus:
LX450 '96-'97

Honda:
Passport '94-'02

The following have a 12 x 1.25 Stud Size, which means getting a different pitch of lug nuts (any auto parts store).

Infinity:
QX4 '96-up

The following have a 106mm Bore, needing a 2mm boreout.

Toyota:
4-Runner '80-'95 & '00-up; Landcruiser '69-'97; Sequoia '01-up; T-100 '93-'96; Tacoma 4x4 '95-up; Tundra '99-up

The following have a 100mm Bore, needing an 8mm boreout.

Chevrolet:
Colorado/Canyon '04-up

Nissan:
Xterra '00-up; Frontier '98-up; Pathfinder '87-'04

Hope this helps.

Just curious as to how the bolt thread pattern on the studs on these vehicles will effect using the rims on your vehicle. The rims won't know what the bolt thread is...

(good work on the list, though!)

Don,

No effect at all, I just wanted to be thorough with the information.

Unless you could get rims from the likes of QXs and LCs for cheaper than they seem to run, you can get a variety of alloy ones new from Tire Rack for the same as these used ones are in the yards.

Well, I screwed the pooch on this one.

As Don pointed out, I didn't think too hard before posting.

The stud info (12 x 1.25) has no effect at all on the wheels or on the mounting, so it shouldn't have been included.

At all.

I try to think things through better before posting in the future.

After all, it took the whole night to figure out how I screwed up...

Great info - thank you - what I don't see on the list and was wondering about is the later gen Monte wheels - are we all stuck with 15" wheels? If the offset and width are right it seems like that might be an easy answer.
