If you have a winch one snatch block is a must along with a tree saver and recovery strap, and if wheel by yourself(not advisable) or often in the back country by yourself, two or more snatch blocks should be in your recover tool bag. Often you don't have a direct line to a strong enough anchor, so you have to use more than one snatch block to use the winch. Another benefit of having multiple snatch blocks, is that you are able to turn an average winch into a heavy duty one, providing you have enough cable.
