Need a Spot
My apolgies to the forum users. It appears I've committed a "faux paus" by multi posting. I hope I didn't disrupt things or inconvenience anyone. I guess its an unwritten rule I wasn't aware of and in hindsight I can see why. I can be overly efficient minded sometimes and was trying to get to as many readers as possible as it wasn't a vehicle specific topic. Didn't mean to be rude or obnoxious (or troll like). Now that my account has been unfrozen (by kind Joe) and I can post again I want to pass that on (I'll keep it to this one forum-honest).
Now, does anyone want to wiegh in on snatch blocks?
I'll be under my bridge if anyone wants to comment.
Apologies and Thanks (sincerely)

Will, my apologies also. Trolls typically do multi posts, usually to lure ppl over to other sites. Not crossposting is part of 'netequitte'. I've seen them where they've come and made a couple posts to test the waters, then start up with their nonsense.

If truck-specific, fire away here. If for something like winches, etc, the off-topic section is a good spot to post for max input. We usually don't allow badge-bashing here, so it's cool. The Gen 4x4 section doesn't see a lot of traffic, your fyi.

This is a *really* good thread, esp the winch link. If you want to keep it in your favorites in your 'my home' section, select this 'toggle this thread' at the bottom to refer to later.

Roll Me Over
If you have a winch one snatch block is a must along with a tree saver and recovery strap, and if wheel by yourself(not advisable) or often in the back country by yourself, two or more snatch blocks should be in your recover tool bag. Often you don't have a direct line to a strong enough anchor, so you have to use more than one snatch block to use the winch. Another benefit of having multiple snatch blocks, is that you are able to turn an average winch into a heavy duty one, providing you have enough cable.
