So if you have rear heat, that would imply you have 3rd rows in the Gen I...?
I'd love to see any pics you can do of the setup. Any idea how it is ducted? what about controls for it?
I think I have an extra motor myself, if I can't get the one pulled.

I have not taken the rear assembly apart yet but can do it if you are interested. The dealer told me that the part number of the rear motor is different but he does not know for sure. I have a rear on off switch built into console (Factory) and have found two hoses that run to the rear system and back. Let me know how I can help.

It's mounted near the blower motor. It is number 6 in the following illustration: Here's what it looks like close-up: ![[Linked Image]](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3232/3029940701_910f1cebb1.jpg) If you don't already have it, you can get the FSM here: FSM link Regards, Eric W.

99% of the time if the blower motor resistor failed it will only work on high. other 3 speeds will have nothing.

I'm now at home and have the schematic.... Try this first:
1) With the key switch in the RUN position, turn the fan switch to "High". You should see 12v or so at the blower motor connector.
2) Turn the blower switch to M2, M1 and Low positions and read each voltage individually. Voltage should drop each time you switch to a lower fan speed..... if not, the resistor pack or the switch is bad.
3) If there is 12v in the High position, but nothing in the lower speed positions, check for voltage at the switch terminals. No voltage on one of those terminals when selected by the switch indicates a blown switch.
4) If the switch and resistor pack are ok, the blower motor may not be well grounded - or it may have an open winding. To check, apply 12v (+) and (-) directly to the blower terminals and see if it runs. If it does not, the blower motor is bad.

Nope, you go in from underneath the glove box. Might have to move the ECU, other than that it's very straightforward (other than the twisting, turning, lying upside down positions you may need to assume <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />) Eric W.

That is correct on my 89. Remove the ECU then two screws that hold the ECU bracket. You do not have to remove everything as shown in diagram.
