So I started my truck last night and could tell it wasn't running right. At idle I can hear it miss and run really rough. When I hit the gas it hesistates pretty bad up through about 1500rpms. Under load from take off I can barely get it to go until I get over 2000rpms. It's a 2000 Taco, 180K,3.4, 5spd...never had any major engine work done. MAF? Ingition? Fuel filter? thought I'd see if these have any typical problems like this
Thanks for your help!!!

Need to check for codes in the computer for a start; is the trouble light on? Was it on when it was acting up? It sounds like an ignition miss to me; check all the plugs and wires. When was it tuned up last?

the check engine light has not come on at all since the problem started. Last tune up was 40K ago (guessing). I don't have a manual to check codes so if you could give a heads up that would really help!
Thanks much?

You will need an OBDII code reader, or if it will drive, take it to autozone or another parts place that will read your trouble codes for you. Here is a link to your factory service manual; it has all the trouble shooting proceedures you will need. 2000 tacoma service manual
