Hi everyone. I haven't posted here for a while; hope everyone is doing well.

Re: my '99 Trooper, the automatic transmission started to slip on 4th gear, and on the way to the trans shop, check trans light came on. Their diagnostic is: (1) forward pumb bad; (2) 3rd gear damaged. Rebuild cost $3,650. This shop's reputation is very good, and they may do a good rebuild. I have another estimate from my co-worker's friend for $1,400. Odometer shows 118,483 (actual about 126,000). All maintenance has been done per Isusu's manual.

Well, Considering its age and value, my decision is not to repair it and let it go, but what kind of options do I have as far as getting rid of it? Right now, the transmission is disassembled and components are in a box. I cannot move it from my driveway. Other than this trans problem, it's been running very well.

Auto salvage will pay me $100 with free towing. I thought about donating, but I don't know if any charities want a non-running car. Any recommendations?
