As far as being "pushed around" that's probably your imagination, or you need to learn when to turn off the locker.

I almost always leave the locker off until I need it, I am also concerned that it might be the mix of both the Starion front and the SR rear just being too different. Or its the binding of the LSD that has be thinking I'm getting pushed around. [/quote]

I didnt know you have an LSD in the front. Any traction aid in the front can really effect the feel of things..so its probably the cause of what your experiencing...wait till you put in the front locker..nice thing is with the ARB is you can turn it off..

So are you running a 4.636 SR rear axle with the 4.625 front? You should have zero problems with that. My truck works properly.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

None? hmmm... really must be the front LSD causing all the mischief. I have high hope of getting the blue truck back on the road this winter. I just don't want to take out anymore mailboxes or endanger other drivers with the front end pulling me all over the place.

Anyone want to buy a front LSD?

Any form of front locker or limited slip will cause a push in the front. You might want to try loosening up the LSD a bit to see if it acts better.

A front LSD needs to have little to no preload. It should spin pretty free with no input torque. It will still induce understeer when power is applied though as it locks in.

I need to get a GM 10 bolt diff in my hands to see if I can get it in our trucks. Plenty of Torsen style diffs for them. They are less pushy when in the front axle. Granted they are of little use rock crawling but if the wheels are on the ground they work well.

Anyone thought of using a Sport front end? Doesn't have the CAD like a Gen II and is also a high pinion design with the same ratios. I think this might be more of a direct bolt in.

What is wrong with the 3.0 front axle? There is a locker available. 4.63 and 4.62 difference is so small it does not matter. I think the problem is the LSD in the snow. If you really want to swap, go for it. Just seems like a pain in the to me for no gain.

Since most likely its just the LSD giving me the problems. I will just replace it with the open front I have laying around.
