I had the same thing happen with my '89. I purchased a "new" fuel pump and bracket from msrecycling in California (more likely to not be rusted out...). I recommend this as the cheapest way to get the bracket.

Bear in mind you'll still need to remove the old fuel pump from the bracket and replace it with your new pump. You may still have other issues to deal with as well. In my case, msrecycling just snipped the rubber line about 1" down from the male fitting and shipped it. I ended up having to heat the fitting with a propane torch and melt some paraffin into the threads to get the female end of the hose to free up. I also had to do the same thing with the flare nut on the other end of the rubber fuel line. If you haven't removed the rubber fuel line yet, this is where you do it. Once it's off, screw it onto the hardline fitting on your new pump, install the pump in the tank, re-route the rubber hose and tighten it down at the flare nut fitting. Do a search on my username if you want to read my saga (somewhere back around November '06, I think). Remember that PBBlaster and properly sized flare wrenches are your friend when doing this job <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
