Stock alarm problems--'99 Trooper

For the past few months the alarm on my '99 Trooper has been going off nearly every time I lock to doors. It usually takes between 5 seconds and 3 minutes for the alarm to go off. It doesn't matter which method is used to lock the doors.
The only recent change was that the hood was changed after a minor front-end accident 6 months ago...may be just a coincidence. Any help is appreciated.

If it started happening about the same time the hood was replaced, I would look under the hood (maybe by the latch) for the switch that activates the alarm and see if it is seated properly and moves freely.

That is what I thought it might be. I tightened the bumpers a little on the hood and now it seems to be okay. I think that may have done it...
