When I say I cant fab I dont even weld. So it would not exactly be a slap in. I can work on my own stuff. All the mods on my Raider I have done (excluding setting up my ARB). I did wire it and put the carrier in the axle. But that is not fabricating.
But maybe some day. This is why I have these question and feel like purchasing the axles.

So 4.56in the D44 if up front would be close enough offroad to my stock 4.625s in the rear? Even on slabs in quarry at the Badlands still close enough?

Gear ratios front to rear should be within 1 - 1 1/2% of each other. 4.56 is real close to 1% so from an engineering standpoint looks good. Curtis' real world experience also says it works so should be good!

Jeep = solid axles. Mitsu = IFS. Ouch! What good is a solid axle if it's made out of glass? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> My orig statement is that you could buy an ARB for your dana 44 for the cost that you could buy new gears for a mitsu axle. Where do i get this less than $300 ARB rear locker or less than $400 front ARB locker? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> just poking the fire <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
