4 here also.

I always have to ask for more wasabi @ the sushi bar. The chefs sometimes give me dirty looks, but hey.. I like it.

I think I am more of a 4- rather than a 3+. I could be wrong on that since the baseline for what is really hot varies. Up here in Vermont when you order a meal and request it spicy hot, it will rarely hurt you anyways. When I go out for breakfast, the girls do set the hot sauce out for me without asking now.
I do add hot sauce to most every thing I eat other than ice cream.
I prefer certain types of peppers for the flavor rather than the burn.
Now, being Tday, I will be heading out for the bland meal of the year.
Happy Tday everyone.

Cheers, Charlie

Apparently the bhut jolokia is the world's hottest pepper. There are videos on youtube of people eating them. I'm a bit curious what that would feel like, but I'm not masochistic enough to actually eat one. That stuff can do a number on your digestive tract.

My thread on the Naja Jolokia earlier this year.

If the Naja Jolokia's aren't spicy enough, you could always go with pure capsaicin at what...16 million on the Scoville scale. The Naja Jolokia only rates a little over 1 million, compare that to Jalapeno's at 8 thousand, and Tabasco at 4 thousand if I remember correctly.
