I'm getting excited to see this! Sides are filled in nicely... any word on intermediate shaft yet?

Great minds think alike, Awesome work dude!

Looks like you've integrated your sliders into the rocker panels. I've been planning on doing this to my friends 2 door monte.

Did I miss something? Is this two different trucks? You had the 4 door made into a pick up, now there is a 2 door with a flat bed. Some weird stuff going on on the wire, bunch of pics aren't howing up, maybe thats the part that has me confused.

I think he just straight up chopped the hell out of it.. there wasn't much warning.

I think that pretty much sums it up. I liked the 4 door chop but always wanted it to be a cab and chassis. The first chop was me being nervous about really cutting it up.

Yeah the integrated sliders is a modified theft of Jenssen's comp truck. I really like the idea of keeping the body clearance while offering some body protection. Plus the more factory look is important for a quality build like this.

The roof panel was a carry over from the original chop. Some how it worked out with a few inches to spare both times. But its stiff due to the ridges in the panel. I don't own a break so it worked out great.

Thanks for the compliments

This truck is a true hybrid - FORGET the Prius!

It has Betsy II's engine, some of her body panels (not that there are many left! LOL!) and interior bits , and has been cut TWICE, first time into a four door mini-box truggie, now a two door "trayback". It just keeps getting cooler.

No longer resembles what I used to refer to as "the limo" back in the day!

Here's where she came from... just for posterity sakes...

Mine has several electric motors.

Engine and pass door is all thats left from Betsy II. The first cut from early on in this thread (Phil's truggie)was my 4 door PU chop. I wanted to be able to carry fuel and other undesirable items to have in the cab outside with out a rack. How ever it grew into a desire to lose as much weight as possible from the truck to help it perform better down the road while loaded with all of my camping/wheeling gear.

The tray is not very heavy, probably 120lbs. I actually had to add some weight to it or change out the rear suspension. The anti squat is strong in these trucks.

There will be more after the truck is back together but I will save that for another day.

Oh and I'm sorry to do this Phil, but this is a truggie. Not that I minded it being called that, but I'm not sure it fit.
