Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am getting a troublecode 41 (open/closed circuit in the generator field) when I use a scan tool. A little history. My jeep is 1989 and I just installed the Mopar MFI kit. The MIL light is lit and I tried to erase the code since I thought it was a leftover code from the initial install but the code 41 will not erase. Therefore, there is a problem

How many volts is the thing putting out? Might be as simple as a burnt alternator.

Battery Voltage = 14.2 per scan tool
Charge Goal = 13.8 per scan tool

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thanks BigJim. That is what I was told. However, when I try to erase the code using my AutoXray 6000 scan tool I can not erase the code 41. This tells me there is something still wrong. Any suggestion ?

have you double checked all of the electrical connections since you installed the MFI? Maybe something is loose, and is tripping the code...

Getting the Wheeling Fever
After long research on the internet, I found a website that told me just that. Possible bad connection or loose wire. I plan to recheck all alternator connections and put dielectric grease on all connections. Thanks for the help
