OK, I put in the new wire from the coil to the distributor. I measured the resistance on the coil and got these readings:
Primary coil - .8 (200ohm scale)
Secondary coil - 12.8 (20K ohm scale)
These readings were taken after my 1/2 hour drive home so from what I can get from the FSM they seem to be in spec. (I think).
The wire still seems to spark a bit if too close to something else such as the wire from the cruise control. I can see little sparks going from one to the other. Is this normal?
