i will shed some light on this subject....... i pulled 1 side down tonight..... just finished and am so tired......... i cleaned everything up and it had 2 snapped bolts..... drilled and tapped the bolts out.... fitted recoils to the thread...... cant use studs or nuts...... as there isnt enough room for a nut to go on there and there isnt enough meat in the hub to clearance it for a nut........thanks for the idea dennis..... had every intention to put studs in ......only to relize at the last minute.....bugger.....you get that..... got brand new....M8x 1.25thread allen headed bolts.... drilled a hole in the top of the heads......filed smooth the mating flanges...... for sealant i used the GM thread sealant..... fitted it all up.......then threaded small split pins thru the bolt heads..... was enough length out of the ones i had to pass thru 2 bolts....... found out what the torque spec was to tighten the bolts up to.......i think that is a must....... SO........ we will see if it happens again...... wil let youknow.......
cheers and thanks for the info guys...... Ads <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
