Those add-ons certainly look well done. Jim, I would certainly keep my eye on it. If it's tied up in in probate court right now you might have a long wait on your hands though.

It is NOT in probate court... It is being overseen by lawyers and family that are only interested in the proceeds from the gas wells on the property.. The guy died 18 years ago and the family hasn't been to the ranch since the death..if before! It just sits there in the barn and they don't know they have it. I'm pretty sure it is on a list of houses and stuff on the ranch but the family doesn't give a damn about anything except the income from the wells..
I found a way to delete the plate numbers so here is the front and rear of the Jeep.

Well if it is not stuck in any legal way, and hasn't been registered since 89, it probably wont require a title to register, just a bill of sale.... At least that is the way it works up here. If you know any of the people that "own" it now, you might ask if you could "dispose" of the vehicle for them...

Ok nuther question... What are the verticle pipes welded to the back corners of the Jeep for? Some sort of a top?
I did notice stacked in a corner is what appears to be a canvass assortment that could be either a cover or a top.

Jim, my guess would be thqt they are for some kind of a top - maybe just a shade top. Are there any place up by the windshield where the forward edge of such a top would be secured?

Bob I don't see any such in the photos and wasn't looking for them when I was there.. I WILL look again but it will be the last week in March when the Turkey season starts.

As An aside the place has many thousands of Turkeys on it.
Every day I am there I see between 100 and 1,000 of them. Our license here has 4 Turkey tags on it this year.
Some of the groups of Turkeys have as many as 150 birds.

I did lift the windshield to look at it but didn't think about what was there that looked out of place.

The pipes on the back corners seem to be factory installed as they are neatly welded and painted.

Looks to me like it was set up to be a lease rig. If you look at your second picture on the first page BJ....about 2/3 of the way up the left side of the pic you can see another "pole holder"...my guess is that it was for securing a top for the passengers in the rear.

Is it just me, or does the back end of the jeep look wider than normal?
