The Axle Had Come Out of the Diff. on the First day so i had to be careful until i got home and took it apart.

Here is what i Found. The Clip that Holds the Axle into the Diff. was No good anymore! I could bend it easily with my fingers. No way could i do that with the new clip. it looks tweaked too!

My guess on it is that the clip did not hold the surface area properly because it was screwed up.

This is how it should be holding of course.

I think it was coming out for awhile but this weekend may have just been "the straw that broke the camel's back".

I remember looking at the axle before this happened and i could see the axle was a little backed out but i never realized what was happening!!

I'm always amazed by how flimsy that clip looks and the job it does, no matter how many times I see it

Looks great bro! Painting rebuilt parts is always a good idea.

What did you use to clean up the steel? Wire brush? sandblast?

Yes, great cleaning job! Wow those parts were clean. And the red paint will look really good under there.
