 Rear locker

Any one know how to lock the rear locker with out putting it in 4wd. Its got to be a wire you can cut. I just don't know what one.

run a wire from a switch to your pump which is under the rear bench seat. I have mine on my 89 Montero able to lock at any time. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Find the locker control module. Snip the brown wire and ground it.

Find the locker control module. Snip the brown wire and ground it. Where is it located in the cab. Drive or passenger foot well?

There is a second module back there, depending on how equipped. (I think the other is the adjustbale ride?) Make sure you get the right one. Pretty sure the locker is above the wheel well itself, and more forward, where the other module is rearward and closer to there the work light sits. Of course if the other one doesn't have a brown wire, you're in safer shape... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I sort of remember a post about how to rewire the activetrac so all the selections were manual, like center diff lock and rear lock. Sure would like to see that one again...
