I got to the park about 20 min after they opened at the time I think I was the only customer. It was strange to see the park so empty. Even though there was very little snow and ice on the ground it was enough to make it look cold out but not so bad as to chase off the trucks like it did. You would think with the cold that trucks would far outnumber the ATVs but that was not so. Not that there was many ATVs either.
I think in the whole park there were maybe 12 ATVs and 5 trucks.
The five were.
1. Danny in his SAS Monty sport.
2. Scott a guy with a 2003 SAS Xterra
3. Nathan in his dual case Monty SR
4. me in my swb 89 Raider.
5. A unknown jeep we crossed paths with a few times.
Since I was the only one in the park at first I did not want to do much except stay near the front while waiting for the other trucks. The other trucks I was waiting on were the ones listed above excluding #5. My first safe target was the pond up front wich was completly frozen over till my Raider broke up the ice a bit and my 6 year old girl "Danielle" had a ball doing that. As far as she was concerned at the time we could have spent all day doing that. I tried not to break too much of it so that ATVs could have some fun on it of course this dissapoointed Danielle. So I decide while I waited for to check out the orange trail head to see if it was passable that day which it was. So I headed back up front and that is when Danny pulled in.
Since it was his first time with the SAS he wanted to play on the ramp a little.
Notice in thes pics he was not in the truck and he had climbed a litlle farther up the ramp but had backed down by the time I took these shots.
Shortly there after Scott in his Xterra showed up. He too played around on the ramp with amazing flex. Sadly either I did not take pics or I some how messed them up in my camera.
So after they played on the ramp a bit we decided to head out to the trails while NathanC was still on the way.
Scott and Danny had me show the way since I had been here much more then either of them. I figured it was best to take dannys untested truck to the easiest part first. This being the west end of the creek bed. Then we turned around and headed east to the trucks only section of the creek wich leads to the quarry.
Here are some pics of the east end.
Here is a pic or 2 of Scotts xterra
The creek leads around to a trail that heads to the quarry.
At this time my little 2 way radio died that I was using to stay in contact with the ATV rider I brought along which is Danielles mom , "Christina". This would not have been that big of deal except it had started to sleet/rain and I wanted to give her a chance to get in the Raider to avoid getting to cold and wet. So we took the shortest route possible along that trail and I left Danny and scott there to go check on Chris. Fortunatly for her she was either determined enough or crazy enough to be fine and she rode on.
So I returned to the quarry to find Scott and Danny trying a tough wall. That I almost hate to post pics of because it makes it look too easy.
No pics of me that I know of were taken while I tried but here is a few from a previous trip on the same obstackle.

Sadly none of us made it up this wall. I gave the Raider some of the worst I ever have but did not succeed. I am still happy because I made farther then I thought I would. The very bad thing is that while Scott was trying something in his front axle broke. I think in my very unproffesional opinion it was his pinion gear.
While looking over scotts truck to see if we could figure out what happened NathanC showed up. It was now 12:30 and we had to decide what to do for the rest of the day. We decided on the Orange trail which I had checked out at the start of the day. At the start of the day when I decided it was good I had not thought about taking a two wheel drive truck through it.
Scott did very well on it with only one axle pushing on the first half of the trail. Sadly I have no pics of us on the orange trail. For the second half we thought it was best that Scott leave his truck in the parking lot because it has long rock gardens to pass through. We made it through the biggest chunk of the rock garden with only me getting stuck after once again giving the Raider to do a obstacle none of us made but I came very close. Then we tride and all made it up another wall of the orange trail rock garden. Here I ended up with some still unknown damage to my steering. I believe it is the center link but I am not sure yet. I hope it is a tierod. I probably could have avoided the damage but my right foot took over and got me going up a bit to fast. It was alot of fun in the rock garden but by then the day was drawing near an end and it was time to load up to head home.
