99 Amigo....4WD flashes, but does not engage? (it did used to work)

Could it be anything simple, or does it sound expensive <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Also, I tried it in 4L and 4H... I do get the usual "whining" in 4L....

Sounds like a vacuum problem. Check the "Vacuum Actuator Override" article on the Isuzu Main Page -- the steps outlined there would walk you through the troubleshooting...

Is it a fast flash or a slow flash? IIRC the slow flash was "trying to engage" whereas the fast flash indicated a problem of some kind that won't let it engage...
