Yep, have them for my Runner and the roomdawg's Corolla.
Beats the dogsnot out of paying $120 or more. Once I downloaded stuff and organized it, put a copy on a jump drive. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Give the TSB's a cursory look too, so you can make sure if there were any modifications along the way that you can incorporate them into your efforts. Just a thought.

NO you cant, in 99' toyota started using an AFR sensor and not o2 sensors.
Also, the Throttle body changed from a 3-wire to 5-wire somewhere in those years.
Also, the MAF's are different from before and after 99'.
ALso, pre-00 taco's had EGR.
So basically, when you get the harness, you have to get all the sensors from it. You can get a 96-04 harness, but you have to get EVERY sensor with it to make it work right, and just use what you have now as a long block.
Good luck.

That's cool. FWIW, my '99 4R still has its 02 sensors, but is a 2.7 mill.

As we'd mentioned in the swap article, the more complete the donor, the better off you'll be. That said, if you find a good donor, make DANG SURE you get the VIN while you're pulling parts to make your reverse parts research goes a little easier. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

NO, you guys don't know what i mean.
They look the same physically, but mechanically, the pre-99 uses an o2 sensor (narrow band) where the 99 and up uses an AFR sensor (wide band).
Basically, the AFR sensor is more accurate.
An o2 sensor is most accurate when closest to 14.7:1 (stoich) but the afr sensor is more accurate than the o2 sensor when it's heading away from stoich (say 12 or 13:1) thus making the two systems uncompatible (as well as the computers).

So which one would be the AFR if it's in the same place as the 02 sensors? Got a reference? That would be a good read.

Pre-cat is def AFR.
I'm not sure of the 2.7, but the 3.4 def. used this.
Lets see if i can dig up the info (got it from Gadget @ URD)
OK here is some random info about the differences
http://hhogear.com/index.php?page=what-do-i-need-to-know-about-my-oxygen-sensor
Ok here is a little explanation from gadget
http://www.customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?p=569960 (read from post #7 and down)
So yeah, might be all yota's 99 and newer with AFR's... dunno 100% tho...

I did see that URD has an AFR calibrator on their site, so that's rather interesting. Another site where I see these being discussed is www.fuel-saver.org

I just picked up an Actron OBDII tester last weekend; might fire up the CD and see if there are any code trees for the AFR vs 02, or both.

Thanks for the linkys. Never hurts to have that stuff around. I've still got a lot to learn with these new gen mills! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />

Sorry if we're goin' a little off track, Yotaman!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
