I don't know if i am a big enough wheeler to get the bars yet, but i will consider it.
Well, that's kinda the point... See -- a "big enough wheeler" either would be skilled and experienced enough not to smack up his/her rocker panels... Or they would be numb enough to body damage not to care.
I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents to vote for Matt at Indy4x as well... Lemmie tell you a little story about Matt. One year, the two of us were headed out to Moab Zu Zoo... He was flying, and I was driving. At the time, my vehicle of choice was a 90 Trooper -- exactly like Matt's 90 (91?) Trooper, except mine was stock, and Matt's was all done up...
So we came up with this plan -- since Matt was just starting out in the business, we would put all of his products onto my truck so he could showcase them at the Zu Zoo event... And it would give me a much better vehicle to wheel in Moab...
So I drove out to Brooklyn (that's where Matt was running his business from at the time) and the two of us spent, oh, I dunno... Maybe 20 hours or so swapping all the modification parts from his Trooper onto mine...
A day or two later... Some bugs I had been working on with my Trooper just weren't worked out. I forget exactly what the issues were, it's been a long time. But regardless... It wasn't looking good for me to make it to Moab...
Then Matt and I got to talking.... And ya know what? Back to Brooklyn I went... We spent another 18 hours or so (we got a little better at it...) swapping everything back to his Trooper.... Then he gave me the keys and off I went, on my way to Moab - do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to Moab from Brooklyn. Matt got on his plane and 40 hours later or so, we were both in Moab.
Those were the good old days... But remember, the tremendously kind and generous people of this board -- they were no different from anyone else at some point. I'd have to check the Way Back Machine to see if there's any pictures of the first time I met Matt. His truck was so little, and cute.
Here's a pic of Matt's truck in Moab, after it was disassembled to mod my truck, then reassembled because of my truck not working, then driven 36 hours straight to Moab...
