It could be the problem. I'll have to review the manual for doing the inner one. Haven't done mine yet, but need to.

That would be super! Since it's off, might as well do them both. Cuz if i change one, more then likely the other will take a dump.......

I appreciate all your help. I try to do al my own labor on my vehicles, cuz i don't have the money to do it. and i can't find a manual for this stupid car and relied on Axeman helping me last year on the head gasket repair. Saved me alot of money.

Thank you again!

ok, checked the whole undercarriage, greased the nipple for the slip joint, it's not rusted at all and still makes the noise. Now what?

If you can, remove the front drive-shaft and make sure the slip-joint is working and at the same time check the U-joints and make sure they are not the problem. The drive shaft is not difficult to remove since it is mounted with flanges.

If you do this, just make sure you draw a mark across both pieces so when you put them back together they line up correctly again.

This keeps the drive line from wobbling and runs just like you didn't pull it apart.

If not, it will start vibrating at a specific speed and you will have to unbolt it again and again clocking it by 90 degrees each time until you find the proper alignment.

Haven't been on for a while, and just got your PM. Good to hear you are back on the road. Sorry to hear that it was the half shaft.

If you replace your muffler, depending on how many miles you have, you might want to do a complete Cat Back replacement with a high flow Cat and Muffler. Also increase the pipe diameter to 2.25". This will wake up the engine and get you more power.
