While those are all pretty slick, I just got one of the $1.95 plastic holders that clips into the door sill at the window, works fine for me. Hardest part was finding teh right spot where it dosn't interfere w/ my arm or the window crank...?

Yours is the one i was looking for but i couldnt get one for under 300 bucks. mine was 20. You can get one similar to mine out of a 2wd with bench but it doesnt have the spot for the t-case.

Hardest part was finding teh right spot where it dosn't interfere w/ my arm or the window crank...? I got the same cup holder [from Wal Mart] ![[Linked Image]](http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/toy4run/Toyota%204Runner/IMG_0546.jpg) Then I cut off the window hanger piece, and mounted it in the only place I could find that would allow the seat to slide forward and allow the shifter to go into all the gears. I used three small sheet metal screws to fasten it to the shifter console. ![[Linked Image]](http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/toy4run/Toyota%204Runner/IMG_0550.jpg) I oriented the handle slot so that the cup handle would clear raised part of the console. ![[Linked Image]](http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225/toy4run/Toyota%204Runner/IMG_0549.jpg) Works great! Little money, little effort.

Sorry its been a while but I have been trying to get everything fixed so that I can show you all pictures of what I have done. I like my new cup holders. Thanks! stock87 ![[Linked Image]](http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u288/jd9996/DSC03166.jpg) These rims came off an old junk truck I had. I just sand blasted them and repainted added new center caps, lugnuts and tires. ![[Linked Image]](http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u288/jd9996/DSC03163.jpg)

Thanks! stock87 JD - what did you do about the buttons that are in the part of the console you eliminated? IIRC for the rear window, wiper, etc? Otherwise, very slick. I may have to do this. I'm gettin gready to take that thing out to mount switches for my E-locker anyway so maybe a good chance to swap.

I figured somebody was going to ask me about the switches. I do not know yet, I am thinking maybe between the gear stick and radio. Make some kind of panel 45 degree angle to put the switches in.

Lot of guys have put aftermarket switches on the side of the center console too. Put them a tad aft near your knee, and your feet won't break them.

You could replace the switches with aftermarket rocker switches or use originals and locate them on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. That's where I placed my 3 off road light switches and worked great.
