Has anyone ever done a RWD GM 3.8 v6 in a Raider/Monty? Do you think a body lift would still be required? I hope to do a v6/v8 conversion this summer along with sas (either early Bronco or some sort of Wagoneer D44's).I have a swb '87 2.6 with MT.

Well.. a GM 3.8 is to 4.3 as 305 is to 350. SO it's a waste kinda. It'd be like putting a 305 into something. The external dimensions are the same as a 4.3, so... yeah you coudl put one in there, but just get a 4.3. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I would like to do a conversion without a body lift but that may not be possible without firewall/trans tunnel mods.

some Aussie company (Mark's 4wd?) used to make a conversion kit for a 3.8 to a pajero gen1. Advanced Adapters was their US agent. Don't know if it was for the wide or narrow block engine, tho.

A Buick GNX 3.8 would be kinda quick, but then so would a 4.3 Typhoon/Syclone...

Roll Me Over
Isuzu bellhousing + AW4 variant (mitsu's is V4AW3) + whatever t-case you want to use.

You'll need to think about shift control (possibly grab earlier Jeep AW4 tranny module).

All junkyard parts. No AA.
