In the near future I will be looking for a 99+ Trooper for family hauling duty. It will be standard tranny equipped and I prefer it to be 2WD so I won't be tempted to mod/wheel it, besides thats what my 88's for <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />.

Are there any quirks I should look out for???

I'm aware of the '99-mid'01 having a press in PCV valve that means it has pistons that can lead to "oil consumption issues".

Are any of them equipped with retarded systems like Drive by wire or the likes. Trying to avoid electrical nannies hampering my style.
