I get ID'ed if I purchase an 8lb keg of powder for reloading but not on a 1 lb can. Just to show Homeland Security how much I appreciate their dilligent work, I buy 7 1 lb cans instead so there is no record of who purchased it.

Anyone who believes Homeland Security was created to protect American citizens, I have a bridge I'll sell you.
They were to created to control the American people and to keep the worse collection of politicans in American history in power. Why has no one tried to repeal the Patroit Act? That act eliminated constitutional rights that are guaranteed in the constitution. The reason is simple, the ultimate goal of these politicans is to disarm the general public. Once they have done that, you are now a slave to the government. If you disbelieve me, try to remember the last law that politicans passed that benefited the majority.

Before long, I expect you will have to show an ID to purchase fuel. Then the government can track your every move.

If the government put half of the effort into anti-terrorism work that they use policing the law abiding public, there would be no more terrorism or at least greatly reduced.

Basically, the government wants you deaf, dumb and blind.

When you get down to it, there is only 2 things wrong with America. 1) The politicans, 2) The fools that keep electing them!

Your not a politician until you've been elected.

Well, hold on a minute, now...

Webster's says a politician is a person engaged in party politics as a profession. Webster's goes on to say that politics is the art or science of guiding or influencing governmental policy. I guess you could debate the interpretation of the English language and provide some credentials that qualify you to do so.

But wait, maybe ol' Merriam was in on some plot to eventually disrupt the "truthful and honest" running of the gov't. Of course, you'll have a hard time proving that since he's been dead a long long time. Maybe you can find a date/time stamped picture of him running around in clothing of today's fashion. That'll help your case...

C'mon... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Hence, a lobbyist is also a politician. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
