According to this website, the 1993 T-100 4WD only came in a 5-speed transmission. In 1994, they gave it the option of the 4-speed automatic. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ah but question is, was it sold as a 94 or 93?? Sometimes depending on assemble date options you wouldnt think possible are there.

Early 93. From the numbers it was made in the first 15% or so of the total units produced. Somewhere in this forum is a list of numbers, years and quantities of vehicles produced.

Also according to them, rear ABS was standard across the board. My truck has no ABS.

When I purchased my '93, the automatic was available in limited quantities and was available in the later part of the model year. I did see several on the lots around here, but with the 3.0, it wasn't a big seller for lack of power, mostly. The automatic probably made it that much more slower. In my '93 brochure, it states: BRAKES: (rear) Drums with rear load sensing proportioning valve and rear wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), with a footnote (operates in 2WD only). I would assume that the years following had the same set-up, but I could be wrong. I know that there is a dash-light that comes on when I start mine and it goes thru the lights and ABS or Anti-lock Brakes is one of them.

My 93 SR5 has ABS and they work perfectly. Don't know why after reading all the stuff on this site about them, but they do. Never did anything in the last 2 years of ownership other than bugger the linkage up with WD40 on a regular basis

Mine also has no abs and its a 97. I am also just fine having no abs as rear only in my opinion is just a hindrence.
