Well that carb looks a holly/weber that came on the early mitsu pickups here, I think kevinC will be able to ID that, I also noticed that your engine is the 4g54 Not G54B I bet yours doesn't have balance shafts, most elimate them any way.

Good looking rig hope you stay around i'm looking forward to watching the build up on it.

Yes that is a G54, but they do have balance shafts which all 2.6 did. The difference between a 54 and a 54B is that the 54 has 66mm main bearings rather than the 60mm in the B. And it shares the small port, small valve head of the 52B.

Very nice and clean Jtop you have. And being that it has been below -15C here for two days, Where you live is even nicer looking than the Monti.

Cheers, Charlie

I too am totally jealous. I am a huge fan of the thinner early gen 1 (pre-1986) bumpers over the made at home version. Sorry guys. This is one of my future mods and want to keep the truck looking stock to the untrained eye.
Nice find, and keep the posts coming.

It would be nice to see detailed photos of the J-top interface. I have an '89 I'd like to make into a soft top.

Hi Jorge!

Sorry I'm late in welcoming you but I've been busy w/ repairs, mods, and setting up an executing an off road trip for a bunch of San Francisco Bay Area folks.

I see you're having some difficulty posting pictures but you're making some progress by getting them online instead of just on your PC.

The 2nd time you tried posting them, the picture doesn't show because the URL link you're using doesnt actually link directly to the picture. Try to find a link that ends in a .jpg or .gif. These will be the url's to the actual picture files which is what this forum system requires.

Oh, and the reason folks can see your pictures is because they're simply using the URL you've provided and pasted it into a web browser manually.

HTH and again, welcome!!

Welcome to the wire! For now, I ended your links in .jpg, and put them inside "urls" so at least they're clickable, without having to copy/paste. GREAT looking truck!

That's nice of you Phil, but they don't work. At least on my machine anyway.
