On my daily driver 95SR, I get a strange response when I put it in 4Hi. when I put the lever into 4Hi from 2Hi, the front wheels on the dash diagram start to blink sporadically. The rear lights do nothing, but I suspect their bulbs are burned out. I have never actually seen this diagram work right, which I presume would mean that the lights come on solid and not blinking. Then again, I've never had it truly off road before.

So my question is this- if the lever is in the 4Hi position, am I actually in 4Hi regardless of what the indicator says, or am I waiting for some sort of clutch to engage? Can I safely ignore the indicator and assume that I'm in 4Hi?

Sorry for my n00bness. I don't drive this vehicle much and previously I've assumed that I was in fact in 4Hi when it is plausible that I was not.
