I've found that using a dusting of baby powder makes the leak source easier to spot.

Prime leak sources are valve cover gasket and rear cam bore plug. Both can be fixed with engine in truck. You have to remove the rocker shaft assembly to get at the plug. Use rubber glove fingers to retain the lash adjusters in the rockers...
