Prime leak sources are valve cover gasket and rear cam bore plug. Both can be fixed with engine in truck. You have to remove the rocker shaft assembly to get at the plug. Use rubber glove fingers to retain the lash adjusters in the rockers...
Thanks for the tips you guys. I like the rubber finger trick and will remember that one. I had to use my old cam plug on the new head and cleaned it well and used RTV, it should be OK. I wiped down the area where the valve cover and the head meet and will check after tooling around.
