Hello, Kevin. sorry that i didn't stay in touch much. We have a new house now, and that takes a lot of care. I don't think that my truck now, would even make it to your house. The guys at work think that my cat is dead, and the particles build up after time and that create too muck backpressure and chokes out the carb. that might explain the exhaust smell in the engine compartment.

I had a buick station wagon in high school that did same thing and it ended up being the engine computer was bad. I don't know if that's of any help, but I feel your pain - it used to make me really mad!

If the Monty has the feedback carb, I have an ECU you can try / have.

I'll try it. My cat converter and exhaust just checked out ok. They said that it most likely is the carb. The air fuel mixture isn't working. My truck does ok at below 20 mph, without stalling. At least i will save some gas!! what do I need to send you??
