this is my first post i know you guys can help me out i been reading in for a while so here goes i bought a 84 ext cab 4x4 pickup i paid $500 for it from a friend of mine he said he had bought it for parts if i wanted he would sell it that he didn't know much about it. I get the truck home put in hot battery and gas it fires right off so i am think ok good deal i also installed plugs wires cap and button so i think it was ready for trip around the field , i made it half way and had to push it back . I didn't know that much about carbs and from what i can find is that my truck has a 20r carb and or is a 84 the same ? i am thinking that i have a 20r motor in this truck if that is the case i have a complete 22re from a 89 that is efi and i have donor truck 2 get everything i need off or could i put the carb intake on 22re and run propane i can get a setup from a guy i work with he had it on a 350 would i run into trouble seting that up or what ? i know nothing about the propane but i know i can make the efi work, but if the propane isn't so bad i could run it on the 20r till it breaks. i just wanna try something diffrent so any thoughts would help
