Looks like I'll be buying a few extra Lotto tickes this week. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

Wonder why he didn't post here?
He has two links in that advertisement, both are bad as his main website seems to be down. Might have gotten some bandwith touble from the attention. ;-) Good for him.
Given the times, the OBO might be a HOAD (heck of a deal)
I still talk with the grandfather of Old Blue (BlueMigo) owner at work; I have visiting privileges if I want them. Tough to let them go.

I talked with Michael at Moab in 2007 regarding his Amigo. Even at that time, he was fairly seriously contemplating selling the rig. As he says in his ad, he wants to spend his resources and interest on his JK Expedition Rig, which is really quite a vehicle in its own right.
The Amigo is really a purpose-built rig. It is a rock crawler, but it really isn't quite a competition rig. While it is really stoutly built, it requires regular and serious maintenance.
Those of us who are on the dark side of 60, as Michael and I are, really have to regularly evaluate how we are going to spend are physical and financial resources. Michael has finally made a decision that has been a long time in coming.

I have to agree with Jim on Michael's decision to sell the LEGENDARY AMIGO. 1st of off I don't think of Jim or Michael as old. I will say, that I have seen alot of people have to push off there retirements in the last couple years. Alot of people were planning on retiring around 2001, and then they took retirement hits after 9/11. Those that pushed thier retirement off to recover from those losses, got a another hit as our economy took a dive over this last year. It's not fair, but it's a game of chance that we all play at one time or another.
So I can't say I'm surprised at Michael's decision, and as much as I hate to see the rig go....it make's financial sense for the COUGH COUGH...down side of 60. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />
