i was almost going to edit my response <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

In Calgary when the temps are -15 or less the roads are a vitual ice rink.
Stopping is never aided by 4wd but starting off at ice intersections is, cornering is and avoiding 2wd 'out of control' drivers is...

They put a 4hi into a vehicle to be used. It wrecks nothing. Even on dry cement in a straight line, no damage.
When the road surface is so cold, than even 'dry' appearing roads are ok in 4 hi. The Pajero has AWD as well which is good for ANY condition with no ill effects.
So, if you in no way are hurting a vehicle designed to be in 4wd, than why not use it. On torrential rain days, i use it as well.
Its not about being a ***** but more about using a vehicle for its intended purpose. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
