Similar experience today- temp at -30 - black ice everywhere. As per the radio over 75 accidents in the Ottawa area before 9am . Went down one 4km stretch that had 6 accidents site- in one case a Ford Focus was perched on top of a 1 meter high snowpile with his rear end dangling over the road & no visible damage - no idea how he got there (4 others scattered helter skelter nearby). It was like seeing a bunch of spun out and dented police cars in a Smokey the Bandit movie car chase. The paj just hummed along.... no need for brakes, just foot off the gas and let the engine do the rest <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Noticed the accidented cars were pretty much all Ontario plated cars - Quebec has a mandatory winter tire law.
