Bolts and studs have the same basic problem, they get loose. Not the actual stud but the nut on it. I perfer the studs and use locktite on the studs into the head and self locking exhaust nuts. Whenever I come acoss metric exhaust nuts (8-1.25, 10-1.25 & 10-1.5) class 9.9 or better, I stock up on them. You can never have to many extra's!

You would think with the increasing use of metric fasteners on vehicles, there would be more availability for metric fasteners. NAPA seems to have the best selection of anyone I've found when in a hurry ortherwise, ARP has universal sets you can order.

I disapprove of anyone converting a 22R to fractional bolts & threads but unless the supply and availability increase, it may be an alternative we may need to go to.

Ok, lecture is over and I'm putting my soap box up. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />
