thats what was on mine when i got it. bolts to both the main frame rails and the part whenre the loop is. still have the loop on it too.

pulled a 4 door trooper with no problems. personally i would put a bigger (or a second air-air) trans cooler on for any kind of distance towing.


You think that thick trans cooler isn't good enough to cool that trans? That thing is pretty beefy, even by aftermarket trans cooler standards.

I have a valley tow hitch in my shopping basket for my one supplier, but I don't want to bolt it onto this montero since I'm buying another one over the weekend. I'm lazy and don't want to bolt it up, then take it off and bolt it to the other one LOL.


when it comes to cooling an automatic you can never have too much.

just make sure it runs thru the radiator after the oil-air coolers.


for the record i have a trans cooler out of a 6.0 powerstroke on my lincoln because i drag race it so much. i dont remember the exact measurements but its about 30x36"
