Carlo's lift is 3"
Russ

It used to be but he said only a 2" is required to raise the tank above the frame rails.

Also, I just got the Water Pump (front and rear halves) & timing belt from the guy advertising it on CL. Funny enough he was driving an Audi S4.

So I guess I need the other belts, tensioner, & pulleys for the timing belt change. Am I missing anything?

Roll Me Over
Nathan made a mold for urethane spring spacers long ago. The next time a batch can be made up let me know - I'd be an interested party.

Depending on how much 2 qt's cost, I may just buy ones for the Sequoia which I hear fits the gen II springs.

Didn't have time to do too much this weekend. I did buy a few things...

First there's this...
[Linked Image]
Pioneer KEH-P700BT which support for USB, IPOD, and built in bluetooth.

Next I ordered an owner's manual ($9.50) and a towing harness ($19.99) off ebay.

I also bought an oem timing belt & water pump through cl for $120.00. The OE pumps come with both the front and rear housings while aftermarket pumps only come with the front housing so you reuse the old rear housing.

Hoping to complete the timing belts on both the 89 & 96 in the next week or 2. Also bought engine and tranny mounts for the 89 to install when I do the timing belt so FE's insights on the difficulty lining them up which he posted on another thread the other day will help there.

I have the Ironman setup off ebay and I happy with the setup. Not a bad price for it.

i was going to buy a few of those ironman lift kits off ebay but they're only 1 1/2" lift, someone needs to make 2 1/2" or 3" lift coils.

Today I replaced the windshield & thanks to Grasscat's insight, experience & knowledge it was only $120.

Only problem is, they put blue painters tape over the seams and told me I need to leave the tape there for 48 hrs. I guess it takes a while for the adhesive to cure.

I also checked out pricing for 35x12.5x15 MT's (BFG, Goodyear, etc.) and we're looking at a hefty chunk of change. I was looking at BFG's & Goodyears. Any good deals out there?

What brand of glass? Did they reuse the factory trim, or the "fit all" trim? I need a new windshield in mine. Thinking about waiting for spring time. There is lots of sand and cinders on the highways between CA & CO this time of year.

Standard fare on the blue tape. Now you will start to notice cars on the road w/blue tape on the windshield.
