Hey Ray: Thinking that way myself and reading some old threads. Looks like 4.90 gears from a 3.5 Sport is all I need to know? Right on the carrier search. Plenty of them and nearly zilch on R&P only. Gotta get me a pre-2k locking rear too. Need to buy things ASAP, before the money from the 95 sale is gone... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Not sure about pre 2000. I bought a rear locking diff carrier & front full housing from a 2000 sport with a 3.5L engine. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the confirmation!
The pre-2k part was in reference to my wanting to swap in a rear locker, as my "new" 2000 of course doesn't have one.

Then just swap in a housing from a mid 90's SR and the 3rd member from the 2000/2001/etc. sport. That way you get the 9.5" housing w/ locker that you swap in the 4.9x from the sport.
